Make sure it is very diffused and blended to soften the defined diamond shape. I like to use a stipple brush to achieve that look. I also apply more near the cheek and gradually fade it towards the temples. I have a strong bone structure with very high cheekbones and always apply blush diagonally which emphasizes the cheekbones.
